This October, The FITIZENS is honored to support a special Breast Cancer Awareness event at NewYork-Presbyterian / Weill Cornell Medical Center, created for the patients, nurses and incredible team at the infusion center.

This event is especially personal to me. I’m organizing it alongside Maria, a leader at the infusion center who became an angel in my own breast cancer journey. During treatment, she was one of the people who made sure I felt safe, comfortable and cared for — even making sure I had a nice room when I needed one during my infusions.

On October 21, I’ll be joining the patients and nurses and leading a special 30-minute BAILA with Val | Rhythm + Sculpt + Release experience. We’ll move, sculpt, dance, shake our maracas and create a moment of joy and connection right inside the hospital.

Throughout both days, the event will include education, community, raffles, giveaways and refreshments, with the intention of supporting those currently navigating treatment and honoring the people who care for them.
